  Assembly involves lacing the wire panels together with spiral binders or lacing wire made from the same durable material. Once assembled and positioned, the baskets are filled with clean, hard, durable stone. The flexibility of the gabion structure is a key advantage; it can settle and shift slightly without cracking, unlike rigid concrete walls. This makes it ideal for areas with unstable ground or high water flow, such as riverbanks, coastal defenses, and steep highway embankments.

  Beyond pure engineering, gabion wall wire enables aesthetic versatility. The choice of fill material—from local grey granite to colorful sandstone or even recycled glass—allows the walls to blend into or stand out in the landscape. The permeable structure also supports ecological integration, allowing water to drain freely and vegetation to eventually take root within the voids, creating a living, green wall over time.
